KIEV, Ukraine (News.az)–Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu met with US National Security Adviser James Jones and Swiss Foreign Minister Micheline Calmy-Rey in Kiev on Thursday.
Davutoglu and Jones discussed Turkish-US relations, Iran’s nuclear program and the developments taking place in the Caucasus.
The Turkish foreign minister spoke to Calmy-Rey about Turkey’s upcoming ascension to the rotating presidency of the Council of Europe and the issues on the agenda of the Council.The two diplomats also discussed the Armenia-Turkey normalization process.
Davutoglu and Calmy-Rey also discussed a ban on minarets in Switzerland, with Davutoglu conveying Turkey’s sensitivity on the issue.
