Erdogan, Davutoglu to Attend Washington Nuclear Summit

WASHINGTON (ArmRadio)–Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will likely attend a nuclear energy summit in the United States on April 12, the Turkish Hurriyet Daily reported Wednesday.

Erdogan is expected to attend the conference, hosted by President Obama, alongside his Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu. The two will be preceded by Turkey’s recalled ambassador Namik Tan, who will return to his post in Washington two weeks in Turkey.

Turkey recalled its ambassador after the US House Committee on Foreign Affairs on March 4 approved a resolution recognizing the Armenian Genocide. Erdogan said earlier this month that he wouldn’t attend the nuclear conference he was invited to.
