wow.. looks great! This is a good and in the same time a bad news … not even in Armenia being so Beautiful new churches and community centre constructed.
There is a sad jock/saying , wherever there is one Armenian in this world he /she will construct two churches . One to visit/to use it and the other one to “boycott” it 🙂
eddy you sound turkish. get over it, get over your turkishness.
Wherever I see an Armenian church, I visit them all. How about you Eddy? are you going to boycott this beautiful church? There no need for such a negative attitude towards an Armenian Church.
Dito. I find the Armenian churches so cosy and so close to my heart. Their architecture is also unique and beautiful. Long Live The Armenian Churches anywhere in this world.Amen!
you guys are wrong…i was refering to devided church …my repaly was not published
by the way, the article didnt say where this church is.
Idiots! 🙂 I was referring to divided Armenian Church and the we do not need two diffent Diocses in CA or US …! Not a single patriotic Armenian would approve that a part of Diaspora Diocese being guided/controlled by/from Antlians and the rest by Holly Etjmiatzin and so on!
We are not “Sunni or SHIA or Alevi Christians”- we are all Armenians tied together by one culture, one historic church , one history and one homeland!
The Church is in Burbank between The Golden State Fwy and N Glenoaks Blvd.
This is good, but won’t be better if we had an Armenian Public Library in Sothern California? We need to encourage the youth to read Armenian and be familiar with our rich culture.
We do have a Public Library. It’s called the Glendale Public Library. I’m sorry Avedis, I have to disagree with your solution for now because, as you know, we (The Armenian Community) do not have enough money to open an Armenian Public Library that would be worthy enough to stand out in this city. Wouldn’t we gane more appeal if we could fund the building of a monumental cultural center, or even a high-ranking public school where we would ourselves teach all who were willing, about the Armenian culture and language, as well as be open to non-Armenians too.
We already have a community center next to St. Mary’s church on Central ave. They do an extensive job of teaching our youth about being Armenian and about our culture, as do many organizations such as the AYF,ARF, ANC, AGBU, etc.
The youth need to learn the rules and regulations of this country, as well as master its language so that we may prosper by the foundations this country(USA) was built on
