Politics and Government in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic

Karabakh Republic Parliamentarian Armen Sargsyan speaks on Horizon TV about politics and government in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. Sargsyan is in Los Angeles to participate in a much-anticipated round-table discussion about the ARF’s role in the governments of countries hosting sizable Armenian communities. Sargsyan will discuss the ARF’s role in Karabakh’s government and politics during the round-table, covering the history of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation in Artsakh, from its role in the region prior to sovietization in the 19th century to its instrumental role in its liberation from Azeri rule and subsequent involvement as a political party involved in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic government.

Sargsyan is the chairman of the ARF faction in the Karabakh National Assembly. He is also the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture and Youth of the NKR National Assembly. Sargsyan, a professor of Armenian History at Artsakh State University, fought as a commander of the Martuni Brigade in the Karabakh Liberation Movement.
