YEREVAN (Yerkir)—The three political parties represented in the ruling coalition signed a declaration Wednesday endorsing President Serzh Sarkisian’s re-election bid for the 2013 presidential elections, and ending speculation about junior partner, Prosperous Armenia’s reluctance to support such a bid.
Following a meeting Wednesday, the leaders of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia, the Prosperous Armenia and the Country of Law parties, President Sarkisian, Gagik Tsarukian and Arthur Baghdassarian, respectively, issued a statement, in which they detail what they deemed as advanced in Armenia and pledged to support Sarkisian in the next elections, to ensure continuity of their policies.
The announcement claimed that by “assuming the collective responsibility” for governing the country, the political coalition “has had a serious role in ensuring the country’s stability and ensuring a normal existence.”
The three parties also said that the coalition had an important role in confronting the internal and external challenges facing Armenia, among them rebuffing serious social declines in the face of the global financial crisis.
“The political coalition announces it commitment toward taking more resolute steps for development of post-crisis advancements and the enhancement of social conditions,” said the three political parties. They highlighted the coalition’s efforts to combat corruption and curtail the shadow economy.
“In the [upcoming] presidential elections, the political coalition will take part with a collective candidate, namely the current president, guaranteeing the continuity of reforms and our country’s stable development during the five years,” concluded the announcement.

Taking Under Consideration this is going to be part of Armenian Government’s New Structure. Then The Diaspora’s “Armenian Political Parties ONLY” should be!! Which are (in Alphabetical order) Huntchag, Ramgavar, Tashnag “.”
If these people are so keen about 2013 elections and our homeland plus its people, they better (a) Eliminate mafia, before people do it with bitter violence (b) Create a condition of economic prosperity in order to prevent exodus.
They (the government) are the Mafia… where have you been? The ”best way to prevent exodus” would be if Armenia was a democracy. Unfortunately it is a dictatorship. Who are we to tell Armenia’s Armenians to stay there. They have as much right as you NOT to live in Armenia, unless you want to bring back the Iron Curtain and just change the keyhole side… like most western countries have so hypocritically done.
Too bad Sargsian was not one of the people arrested in California when the police busted 70 Armenians.
Any way we can extradite him?
