A UC Davis historian argues in a recently published paper in the American Historical Review that the Armenian Genocide sparked the modern humanitarian movement.
Keith David Watenpaugh, an associate professor who teaches in the religious studies program, says: “This was the first time a major international body, in this case the League of Nations, intervened on behalf of a large population of refugees and genocide survivors, to try to help them. Many Americans were involved in this effort. And it was also a major failure.”
Watenpaugh’s paper, “The League of Nations’ Rescue of Armenian Genocide Survivors and the Making of Modern Humanitarianism, 1920-1927,” was published in the December edition of the American Historical Review, the official publication of the American Historical Association.

From my experience…I never like to use word Muslims…
Religion nothing to do with genes.
Who kills is faithless…this we should know…
Religion versus Race
In every religion
There breathes an angel and devil uncultivated human.
Religion is faith, difficult to analyze in unsown harts(hearts)!
Armenians lived with Muslims since the genocide
Turkish Muslims murdered us
While Arab and Persian Muslims saved Armenian lives
Respecting their honest creative genes.
Thus, Arabs must be defined a peace loving race—
“Anti-genocide” *.
Now to the Christian American Congress
United with British dishonest members of parliament;
They never want to recognize our Genocide
That Ottoman Turks, in 1915, vanished
One and a half million ‘Innocent Artful Hands’, and
Deprived us our mothers’ beds…lands…our Mount Ararat,
Spreading Us immigrants…at every corner…at hartful and hartless space.
Because we’re an honest race
Other ethnicities understood Us…respected and praised
We served and will serve them with our devoted ‘Harts yev Hands’…
Since our genes illuminate alacrous…
Love and Care.
It is a palpable fact to crave,
Since the earth gave its first birth,
“Politics breathe faithless.”
