Tankian to Perform in Yerevan

YEREVAN (Combined Sources)—System of A Down frontman Serj Tankian will perform a free outdoor concert in Yerevan on August 14 with an anticipated audience of 20,000 after the opening ceremonies of the Tumo center for creative technologies.

Tankian will perform songs from the Elect The Dead Symphony album with 40 musicians from Armenia performing the symphony with conductor Gamish McKish from Australia.

The concert will also be streamed live online.

Director of Deem Communications Raffi Niziblian that plans for this concert have been under way for almost a year.

Armen Kupelyan, a representative of Fujifilm Studios his idea for cooperation with Tumo center came when he first heard about a similar project in the US.

Niziblian said details about the concert will be publicized in the near future.

Tankian is currently on tour with System of A Down.
