BAKU (Noyan Tapan)–Azerbaijani President Heydar Aliyev is confident a peaceful resolution to the Karabakh conflict can be achieved. For this reason–both Armenia and Azerbaijan must take steps at making mutual concessions. Aliyev’s statement was made in an interview with the British "Caspian" periodical on February 7.
"Perhaps the nature of these mutual concessions has not been described," said Aliyev. He added that although progress is slow–the sides are moving toward that direction. The OSCE Minsk Group is working toward establishing direct contact between the presidents of both countries.
