GLENDALE– The Armenian National Committee Political Action Committee (ANC-PAC) announced Friday that it had endorsed the candidacy of State Assemblyman Scott Wildman–who is seeking the Democratic Party’s nominee for the 21st State Senate seat in California.
Since his election to the California State Assembly in 1996–Wildman has played an integral role in the dramatic transformation of politics in the greater Glendale–Burbank and Pasadena areas by consistently reaching out to the many ethnic and racial groups that make up this increasingly diverse district. Wildman’s unparalleled outreach to the Armenian American community–especially to the youth–has–in the past four years–produced roughly half a dozen full-time Armenian Americans staffers in his office and dozens of high school and college interns who know this unpretentious and energetic man’simply as "Scott."
"The ANC-PAC’s endorsement of Scott Wildman is based upon his outstanding record on issues impacting the Armenian American community and his exceptional activism on behalf of his constituents," stated ANC-PAC Member Armand Keosian "Moreover–he has never hesitated to encourage and assist Armenian Americans seeking elected office. Our endorsement of Scott Wildman’should not be misunderstood as a repudiation of the other fine and capable candidates seeking the 21st State Senate seat. However–Scott Wildman’s record of achievement–which is second to none in California–deman’s proper recognition and reward from the Armenian American community," concluded Keosian.
The ANC-PAC urges all Armenian Americans to participate in the democratic process and vote on Tuesday–March 7.
