GLENDALE–Members of the Armenian National Committee- Political Action Committee (ANC-PAC) met earlier this week with Chief Deputy Attorney General candidate for the position of California Attorney General–David Sterling–to discuss his campaign prospects and important issues facing the Armenian Americans of California.
Stirling–who has long been supportive of the Armenian American community–first as a legislator and more recently as Deputy Attorney General–shared his views with ANC-PAC members Karo Khanjian–Arsen Danielian and Vicken Sonentz-Papazian on ways to attract greater numbers of Armenian American attorneys into the Attorney General’s Office. In addition–Stirling expressed his support for expanding initiatives whereby the Attorney General’s office could assist and train attorneys in the Republic of Armenia in order to strengthen Armenia’s legal sector and promote the rule of the law.
The ANC-PAC met earlier this summer with Democratic candidate for Attorney General–California State Senate President Bill Lockyer–to listen to his ideas on how the Attorney General’s office could be more responsive and award of issues facing Armenian Americans.
The ANC-PAC will continue to interview candidates for state and federal office until the November elections.
