GLENDALE–In an effort to create and maintain a medium of communication within the Armenian-American community–the Armenian National Committee of America -Western Region has created a news program whereby a dialogue can be established within the community regarding current Armenian-American issues that affect both the younger and older generations of Armenia’s. The program is called ANC-TV–and is due to air on Wednesday–August 15–at 6 p.m. on Armenian Cable Television-Channel 55.
The show is produced under the guidance of ANC Youth members comprised of former ANCA interns–as well as young professionals and activists who work to increase political participation on both domestic and international levels.
They focus on issues that are of concern to the next generation of Armenian-Americans and work with the grassroots to provide an open forum for the exchange of ideas geared towards raising community awareness. ANC-TV is created each month by the efforts of interns whose primary area of study are: Communications–Journalism–TV/Broadcasting–Film–or Marketing. Each month interns research–write–and produce topical feature and news stories that focus on political–economic–and social issues that affect the Armenian-American community in the United States and abroad.
