CRESCENTA VALLEY, Calif.—The Armenian National Committee of America, Crescenta Valley Chapter has announced its endorsement of Cheryl Davis, Dr. Young Suh and Harry Leon for Crescenta Valley Town Council. All three candidates are incumbents running for re-election in anticipation of continuing to serving Crescenta Valley.
“There is no doubt that if Cheryl David, Dr. Young Suh and Harry Leon are re-elected, the Crescenta Valley community’s shared values will continue to be realized,” said Armine Sherikian, ANCA-CV Chair.
Cheryl Davis was raised in San Jose and moved to Southern California while at UCLA, where she received her B.S. in Biochemistry. She is a law firm Administrator at Bradley & Gmelich, located in Glendale. Cheryl is a Treasurer for Prom Plus, the CV Fireworks Association, the current coordinator for the Montrose-Glendale Christmas Parade and also a member of a volunteer group, known as CV DOGS, who helped get the first dog park at CV Park. Davis’s objective is to have the Town Council continue partnering with the various organizations within the community to help accomplish mutual goals.
Dr. Suh is an anesthesiologist and has served on numerous missions around the world to assist with eye surgeries and procedures. He is an elder at the L.A. Korean Presbyterian Church, is highly respected in the Korean community and, as CVTC member, has been able to bring a sense of unity to the community. As President of the Korean-American Federation of Los Angeles, President of the Olympic Lion’s Club and other leadership positions, he has developed a lifelong record of service through his involvement within volunteer and community-based organizations. Dr. Suh’s main goal is to keep the community safe for residents, ensure good education for children and help local businesses.
Harry Leon is a self-employed business owner and holds a certificate of D.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He has been an active member in the Armenian-American Community, especially through his involvement with Homenetmen Western Region athletic committee. Furthermore, he has been involved with numerous organizations such as AYSO, BSA, CV Drug & Alcohol Prevention Committee Board Member and CV Youth Council Organizer. His main goal is to promote quality of life in La Crescenta neighborhoods by delivering services to youth, families and seniors and by ensuring safe and vibrant environment for all to enjoy and prosper.
A total of nine candidates are running for Crescenta Valley Town Council. Cheryl Davis, Dr. Young Suh and Harry Leon have all previously been top vote getters, hence have served on the CV Town Council for six, three and three years respectively.
