Janice Hahn

GLENDLE—The Armenian National Committee of America, Western Region, announced today its endorsement of Los Angeles City Councilwoman Janice Hahn as she runs for United States Congress in California’s 36th District.
In her meeting with ANCA activists and staff, Councilwoman Hahn showed considerable understanding and concern for issues important to the Armenian American community in the 36th District and throughout the United States.
“I am deeply honored by the Armenian National Committee of America, Western Region’s endorsement. As the strongest, most politically active organization in the Armenian American community, I am pleased to have the support of the ANCA-WR,” said Hahn.
She continued, “When I am elected to Congress from the 36th District, I promise that I will be a champion of the Armenian community by advocating for Congressional recognition of the Armenian Genocide, the establishment of a U.S. – Armenia trade office, and the protection of the right to self-determination for the people of Nagorno-Karabakh.”
The 36th Congressional District race is significant because the winner will be replacing former Congresswoman and noted Genocide denier, Jane Harman.
ANCA-WR Chairman Andrew Kzirian commented on the endorsement: “Our decision to endorse Janice Hahn, a longtime friend of the Armenian community in Los Angeles, is to ensure that the integrity of the 36th Congressional seat is upheld.”
“We truly believe that Councilwoman Hahn is the individual in this race who is not only committed to supporting Armenian American issues but also of bringing them to the fore once she is elected to the House of Representatives.”
The special election for this seat will be taking place on May 17. For more information on Janice Hahn, you may visit here.
The Armenian National Committee of America-Western Region is the largest and most influential Armenian American grassroots advocacy organization in the Western United States. Working in coordination with a network of offices, chapters, and supporters throughout the Western United States and affiliated organizations around the country, the ANCA-WR advances the concerns of the Armenian American community on a broad range of issues.

Another one who throws promises around like mushrooms. And the armenian community will follow once more someone, who just wants to be elected, while spitting on them in real. Have some backbome dudes, try to have better relations with Turkey, for the sake of your country. Anything else is like dancing on the clouds without a ground standing..

I am 85 yrs old,in all that time jerky,I mean turkey has made promises, statements, half truths, lied thru their teeth,so, how can you make sense, out of irrational behavior. They never wanted peace, and they carry the nom de plume of OLD YELLOW STAIN.THey have been harrassing a country one tenth its size, never an equal. They were well beaten on two fronts in WW1 by equal forces, taking their anger out onDEFENSELESS Armenian women, children, old people(their kind of fight).
