French President Emmanuel Macron speaks at the CCAF annual gala on Feb, 5 in Paris

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Turkey’s foreign ministry issued a statement calling President Emmanuel Macron of France “arrogant” and “uninformed,” in response to the French leader’s announcement on Tuesday that April 24 will be designated as a national day of commemoration of the Armenian Genocide in France.

“There are no lessons to be learned by us from arrogant French politicians, devoid of basic knowledge of history, representing a country known to us by its atrocities,” said the Turkish foreign ministry announcement targeting Macron.

“We have explained to French officials, on several occasions at every level and notably to the French President, that the events of 1915 constitute a legitimate subject of legal, historical and academic debate,” added the announcement.

“Nevertheless, it is understood that the French President Macron seeks to fulfill his election promise in the hope of receiving the votes of French electorate of Armenian origin,” continued the announcement.

“It is regrettable that a politician, uninformed in Ottoman history, ignores the French and European jurisprudence and takes a one-sided position with regard to a historical issue of highly sensitive nature for Turks for the sake of his personal political gains,” asserted Turkey’s foreign ministry, which, once again, called for the formation of a historical commission to “shed light” on history.

In response to a question about whether Ankara reacted to Macron’s announcement, France’s foreign ministry said that official Paris has “had several opportunities to exchange views with the Turkish authorities on this issue. They have been informed of our positions just as we have been informed of theirs.”

“In establishing this day of commemoration, the President is fulfilling his well-known pledge to honor French citizens of Armenian descent,” explained the French foreign ministry.

Macron made the announcement on Tuesday evening during a gala banquet organized by the Coordinating Council of Armenian Organizations in France (CCAF), adding that plans were underway to declare April 24 a national day of commemoration of the Armenian Genocide.

He also clarified that prior to making the announcement he had contacted President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey to inform of him of his intentions.

Turkish presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin “strongly condemned” Macron’s statement about the Armenian Genocide, reported the Anadolu news agency.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to Twitter to express his gratitude to Macron. His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia also thanked Macron for the designation.

“I salute the statement of Emmanuel Macron. Powerful manifestation and act of solidarity, determination to protect human rights and prevent mass atrocities,” Pashinyan wrote on Twitter.

“….representing a country known to us by its atrocities,” said the Turkish foreign ministry announcement targeting Macron.”

Therein lies the problem. Deflect and blame the other party. The issue at hand is not about what France has done or not done, rather the discussion is about Turkey itself. If Turkey wants to argue about France’s past deeds, then they’re free to do so at anytime and at any place. But to answer a question with another question just goes to demonstrate the extend of Turkey’s insecurity. A cornered cat will always lunge for the eyes no matter how powerful the foe.

Bark, bark, bark…. The dogs keep barking at the moon every night. The Turkified Armenians keep barking the same old dnials. “It didn’t happen but they had it coming”. I am confident of history’s march forward and Armenian recovery. All it takes is the US to act upon its “League of Nations Mandate for Armenia”, and we can overnight have a Wilsonian Western Armenia. Dreaming? Remember the “Nerkaght” movement? Stalin instigated that plan intending to take western Armenia from Turkey and divide it up between it and Georgia. That plan fell through, and 40,000 Armenians went to Siberia instead. So the point is that one can expect the unexpected in politics. After all, what odds that Armenia, be it small, would revive after a thousand years? Sooner or later, Turkey will expand beyond its britches, and the west and other powers may decide to breake Turkey up into 20 diferent countries, ethnic based and ineffective.

I think we should have an on line page of thanks and gratitude to be signed by Armenians all over the world
and sent to all leaders, who honor and commemorate the Genocide.
To show Turkey and the world that we’re are here and watching.
How come the Armenian diaspora doesn’t have its own presence on the web?

It is the Turkish arrogance and hypocrisy that knows no bounds. Apparently, according to genocidal Turkish leadership, they know everyone else’s history but no one knows their history except they themselves. Unable to defend themselves, and as always, they try to bury the message by denigrating the messenger. The only thing they know very well is that they stand to lose so much, not to mention be labeled as criminal state that committed genocide against native Armenians and others, that they will go to the ends of the Earth to lie and deny a historical fact that within a few years’ time put an end to thousands of years of Armenian existence in their ancestral homeland under centuries of Turkish occupation.

For years these former Central Asian mass murdering and cunning terrorist nomads, hiding behind the NATO shield and their geo-political importance to the west, vehemently denied that any killings ever took place until they could not anymore and then they started to try to spin the facts by turning their Armenian victims, men women and children, into rebels and enemy combatants when blaming their preplanned murder on exposure to deadly diseases no longer seemed to work. One lie after another until they ran out of them all. They soon learned that it is much easier to water down the facts and play the blame game than to invent one lie after another which requires even more lies to defend.

The proposal by these Turkish hyenas to form a committee of historians to “study” the genocide is a big farce. For one, it is a deliberate method to throw the worldwide Armenian Genocide recognition off-course by giving the international community the illusion that they are being conciliatory. Nothing can be farther from the truth. How is it that they went from denying these murders ever occurred to now suggesting that such a committee be formed to study the genocide and why now? Well, because they spent the last decade or so getting rid of all critical archival documents that would otherwise incriminate them. Furthermore, how can the double-talking opportunist Turkish leadership, the Islamo-fascist mullah Erdogan in particular who considers being compared to Armenians is denigrating, propose the formation of such a committee to look into this while at the same time never misses the opportunity to call the genocide a lie even before such a committee is formed? This is a trap just like the 2009 so-called “reconciliation protocols” was a trap and we saw that it indeed was a trap when the tricky Turks showed their face soon after.

Plain and simple, the premeditated and state-sponsored 1915 Armenian Genocide was put into action under the cover of WWI to deny indigenous Armenians their freedom by permanently confiscating their ancient Western Armenian homeland and without the Armenians themselves!

    I laiughed so much.
The term coined to describe the ridiculous sources of historical inflrmation used by both Turkic nations is:
ESSEGLOPEDIA , it is the most fitting term , its just hilarous and so effective

We thank President Macron for his commitment to us and humanity.

Erdogan is a bully. The way to deal with a bully is to punch him in the nose. His attack of Macron and intolerance of others’ views confirms that his DNA holds the animalistic behavior capable of conducting Genocide. The Turkish response about the flags at Armenian schools was also to go on the offense once you’ve committed a sin. Again, one who does that possesses genes that are prone to committing human atrocities.

    Compliance status

We firmly believe that the internet should be available and accessible to anyone, and are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of circumstance and ability.

To fulfill this, we aim to adhere as strictly as possible to the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1) at the AA level. These guidelines explain how to make web content accessible to people with a wide array of disabilities. Complying with those guidelines helps us ensure that the website is accessible to all people: blind people, people with motor impairments, visual impairment, cognitive disabilities, and more.

This website utilizes various technologies that are meant to make it as accessible as possible at all times. We utilize an accessibility interface that allows persons with specific disabilities to adjust the website’s UI (user interface) and design it to their personal needs.

Additionally, the website utilizes an AI-based application that runs in the background and optimizes its accessibility level constantly. This application remediates the website’s HTML, adapts Its functionality and behavior for screen-readers used by the blind users, and for keyboard functions used by individuals with motor impairments.

If you’ve found a malfunction or have ideas for improvement, we’ll be happy to hear from you. You can reach out to the website’s operators by using the following email

    Screen-reader and keyboard navigation

Our website implements the ARIA attributes (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) technique, alongside various different behavioral changes, to ensure blind users visiting with screen-readers are able to read, comprehend, and enjoy the website’s functions. As soon as a user with a screen-reader enters your site, they immediately receive a prompt to enter the Screen-Reader Profile so they can browse and operate your site effectively. Here’s how our website covers some of the most important screen-reader requirements, alongside console screenshots of code examples:

    1. Screen-reader optimization: we run a background process that learns the website’s components from top to bottom, to ensure ongoing compliance even when updating the website. In this process, we provide screen-readers with meaningful data using the ARIA set of attributes. For example, we provide accurate form labels; descriptions for actionable icons (social media icons, search icons, cart icons, etc.); validation guidance for form inputs; element roles such as buttons, menus, modal dialogues (popups), and others. Additionally, the background process scans all of the website’s images and provides an accurate and meaningful image-object-recognition-based description as an ALT (alternate text) tag for images that are not described. It will also extract texts that are embedded within the image, using an OCR (optical character recognition) technology. To turn on screen-reader adjustments at any time, users need only to press the Alt+1 keyboard combination. Screen-reader users also get automatic announcements to turn the Screen-reader mode on as soon as they enter the website.

These adjustments are compatible with all popular screen readers, including JAWS and NVDA.

    2. Keyboard navigation optimization: The background process also adjusts the website’s HTML, and adds various behaviors using JavaScript code to make the website operable by the keyboard. This includes the ability to navigate the website using the Tab and Shift+Tab keys, operate dropdowns with the arrow keys, close them with Esc, trigger buttons and links using the Enter key, navigate between radio and checkbox elements using the arrow keys, and fill them in with the Spacebar or Enter key.Additionally, keyboard users will find quick-navigation and content-skip menus, available at any time by clicking Alt+1, or as the first elements of the site while navigating with the keyboard. The background process also handles triggered popups by moving the keyboard focus towards them as soon as they appear, and not allow the focus drift outside of it.

Users can also use shortcuts such as “M” (menus), “H” (headings), “F” (forms), “B” (buttons), and “G” (graphics) to jump to specific elements.

Disability profiles supported in our website

    • Epilepsy Safe Mode: this profile enables people with epilepsy to use the website safely by eliminating the risk of seizures that result from flashing or blinking animations and risky color combinations.
    • Visually Impaired Mode: this mode adjusts the website for the convenience of users with visual impairments such as Degrading Eyesight, Tunnel Vision, Cataract, Glaucoma, and others.
    • Cognitive Disability Mode: this mode provides different assistive options to help users with cognitive impairments such as Dyslexia, Autism, CVA, and others, to focus on the essential elements of the website more easily.
    • ADHD Friendly Mode: this mode helps users with ADHD and Neurodevelopmental disorders to read, browse, and focus on the main website elements more easily while significantly reducing distractions.
    • Blindness Mode: this mode configures the website to be compatible with screen-readers such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack. A screen-reader is software for blind users that is installed on a computer and smartphone, and websites must be compatible with it.
    • Keyboard Navigation Profile (Motor-Impaired): this profile enables motor-impaired persons to operate the website using the keyboard Tab, Shift+Tab, and the Enter keys. Users can also use shortcuts such as “M” (menus), “H” (headings), “F” (forms), “B” (buttons), and “G” (graphics) to jump to specific elements.

Additional UI, design, and readability adjustments

    1. Font adjustments – users, can increase and decrease its size, change its family (type), adjust the spacing, alignment, line height, and more.
    2. Color adjustments – users can select various color contrast profiles such as light, dark, inverted, and monochrome. Additionally, users can swap color schemes of titles, texts, and backgrounds, with over 7 different coloring options.
    3. Animations – epileptic users can stop all running animations with the click of a button. Animations controlled by the interface include videos, GIFs, and CSS flashing transitions.
    4. Content highlighting – users can choose to emphasize important elements such as links and titles. They can also choose to highlight focused or hovered elements only.
    5. Audio muting – users with hearing devices may experience headaches or other issues due to automatic audio playing. This option lets users mute the entire website instantly.
    6. Cognitive disorders – we utilize a search engine that is linked to Wikipedia and Wiktionary, allowing people with cognitive disorders to decipher meanings of phrases, initials, slang, and others.
    7. Additional functions – we provide users the option to change cursor color and size, use a printing mode, enable a virtual keyboard, and many other functions.

    Browser and assistive technology compatibility

We aim to support the widest array of browsers and assistive technologies as possible, so our users can choose the best fitting tools for them, with as few limitations as possible. Therefore, we have worked very hard to be able to support all major systems that comprise over 95% of the user market share including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Opera and Microsoft Edge, JAWS and NVDA (screen readers), both for Windows and for MAC users.

    Notes, comments, and feedback

Despite our very best efforts to allow anybody to adjust the website to their needs, there may still be pages or sections that are not fully accessible, are in the process of becoming accessible, or are lacking an adequate technological solution to make them accessible. Still, we are continually improving our accessibility, adding, updating and improving its options and features, and developing and adopting new technologies. All this is meant to reach the optimal level of accessibility, following technological advancements. For any assistance, please reach out to
