YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–"As a painter–Aram Isabekian never followed any stylish trend in art but found his own style and never veered from it," Director of the Yerevan Center for Aesthetic Education Henrik Igitian said during the opening of the painter’s exhibition at the National Picture Gallery on September 24.
The exhibition–housed in four of the Gallery’s halls–presents still lifes and canvases with bizarre titles–such as "Victory Over Vice,"Guardian Knights,"Night Angels," as well as portraits of Aram Isabekian’s painter father–Edward–his daughter–and friends.
Painter Sargis Muradian said that Aram Isabekian’s portraits reflect both the outer appearance of the artist’s model but also his inner world seen through the prism of the artist’s soul. That’s why Isabekian’s portraits appear to be so kind–Muradian concluded.
The exhibition opening was attended by Constitutional Court Chairman Gagik Haroutiunian–Minister of Culture–Youth Affairs and Sports Roland Sharoyan–Minister of Territorial Governance Khosrov Haroutiunian–and other officials.
