YEREVAN (Yerevan News Agency)–A representative assembly of Armenian Revolutionary Federation–which convened in Yerevan Sunday at the ARF "Simon Vratsian" Center–renewed its long-standing motto and pledged to direct all organizational efforts "Toward the Homeland."
The conference organized by the ARF Bureau–was attended by ARF regional representatives from Armenia–Karabakh–northern and southern Iran–Syria–Lebanon–Greece–France–Canada–Eastern and Western United States and South America.
In his opening remarks to the conference–ARF Bureau chairman Beno Tontian said that the re-instatement of the ARF in the homeland had created the opportunity for this biennial conference to take place in Armenia–for the first time.
"Thus–a renewed impetus for activities in Armenia has opened for the ARF," stated Tontian.
The conference convened with a biennial report of ARF Bureau activities. The participants also addressed internal organizational issues–and on Monday directed their attention toward the organization in Armenia and Karabakh–discussing political–economic and organizational issues.
The meeting placed special emphasis on the ARF’s long-standing motto of "Toward the Homeland," and concluded that new horizons existed for focusing resources to the betterment of Armenia.
