COPENHAGEN–An Armenian Revolutionary Federation delegation headed by Bureau member Mario Nalbandian and including Sarkis Panossian met last Thursday with international affairs coordinator of the Danish Social Democratic party Erik Boel.
During the hour-long meeting which took place at the Social Democratic party headquarters–the current socio-economic and political conditions in the Caucasus–as well as Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh were discussed.
The two sides also discussed extending cooperation between the two parties and future considerations and projects.
While in Copenhagen–Nalbandian also participated in the Global Labor Summit organized by the Danish General Workers Union.
The summit–convened with opening remarks by Workers Union president Poul Christenses and Danish prime minister and the chairman of Social Democratic Party Poul Rasmussen.
The summit–among other topics–tackled the issues of globalization and its impact on developing countries–the issues facing newly industrialized nations–obstacles facing changing economies and trade union/political strategies in those countries.
Representatives of political and labor organizations from Denmark–Russia–Lithuania–South Africa–Nicaragua–the US–Canada and others addressed During the summit–which adjourned Sunday.
