Armenia Beats China in World Team Chess Championship

NINGBO, China—The team representing Armenia at the World Team Chess Championships on Thursday beat the Chinese team in the 5th round of competition, topping its standing by eight points.
Armenia’s Levon Aronian, Sergey Movsisyan and Vladimir Hakobyan ended their matches in a draw, while Gabriel Sargsyan won the game.
Russia and Hungary also gained victories in the 5th round. The match between Azerbaijani and Ukrainian teams continues at the moment.

    when it comes to inteligence we are the winners but when it comes to chance and resources like oil we are the loser but it won’t long that way anymore

    A nation of less that three million beats a nation of almost two billion. That’s quite an accomplishment for Armenia. We are proud of our chess team.
