BEVERLY HILLS–Armenia Fund–Inc. recently announced the formation of its new Executive Board. Primate Archbishop Vatche Hovsepian–Prelate Bishop Moushegh Mardirossian–Father Raphael Minassian and Reverend Joseph Matossian remained as ex-officio members–while Bob Barsam–was named president of Armenia Fund Inc.
Other board members included–Hrair Balian–Zaven Khanjian–Vartan Nazerian–Hratch Simonian–Talin Yacoubian and Tomas Yeterian. Each member was assigned to serve a two-year term. A few additional names were expected be added to this list in the near future.
The new Executive Board has had an initial opportunity to acquaint itself with the Fund’s past and current activities.
Presently–the Board is reviewing and discussing plans and projects to be implemented during its tenure.
In December–the Armenia Fund will hold a press conference to formally introduce this new Board–as well as outline its plans for the next two years–including a telethon scheduled for May of 1999. Details and specifics will be announced shortly.
Additionally–the Armenia Fund Inc. announced that the accounting firm of Parks–Palmer–Turner & Yemenidjian had completed the financial audits for the calendar years 1996 and 1997–the reports of which is expected to made available to the press and public.
