YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–This spring Armenia will host a Karabakh culture month–while Karabakh will host a similar Armenia culture month. This and other cultural exchange programs were part of an agreement signed between the ministers of cultures of Armenia and the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic during a meeting Thursday of both cultural ministers Roland Sharoyan and Armen Sargsyan.

An exhibit by Karabakh artists in Armenia was also part of the cultural exchange agenda–as was the establishment of an art gallery in Karabakh through the efforts of Armenia’s Ministry of Culture–Sports and Youth Issues. The culmination of this cooperation is expected during a festival entitled "One nation. One Culture" scheduled to take place in Shoushi.

The agreement further stipulated that Armenian Ministry of Culture would finance theatrical performance at the Vahram Papazain Theater in Karabakh–while the theater troupe will also tour Armenia.

On the other hand–the Karabakh Ministry of Culture was mandated to create a committee to maintain Armenian monumen’s.

The agreement also stipulated that representative from the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic would take part in Armenia’s National Olympic Committee. Wrestling national championship matches are also scheduled to be held in Karabakh.
