YEREVAN (Azg Daily)–For the first time in its history–armed forces from Armenia will participate–within the framework of the Partnership for Peace program–in NATO’s Prometheus drill–to be held in Saloniki City in Greece for the next two weeks.
The drill is a direct result of an agreement signed between the respective Defense Ministers of Armenia and Greece–Vazgen Sargsian and Akis Zokhadzopulos. Armed forces of the Netherlands–Bulgaria and Albania will participate in the drill as well.
Several CIS countries have already participated in drills of NATO’s Partnership for Peace program–but this is Armenia’s first.
