YEREVAN/STEPANAKERT (Armenpress–PanArmenian.Net)–Commenting on Azerbaijan’s frequent violations of the cease-fire agreement with Mountainous Karabagh Republic (MKR)–Armenian Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian said that Armenia is interested in neither a large nor a small scale conflict. The latest infraction by Azerbaijani forces occurred on Monday when Azeri soldiers launched an attack on MKR forces at the line of contact of the two sides–leaving one Azeri soldier dead.
"On the contrary," said Oskanian–"Threats to solve the Nagorno Karabakh conflict via military means are often heard from Baku–and this is evident to everyone."
Oskanian said that the latest incident is confirmed to have been initiated by the Azeri party.
MKR authorities handed the body of the killed Azeri soldier to Azerbaijan on Monday at the Aghdam section of the border between MKR and Azerbaijan–with the participation of representatives of the Stepanakert office of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
