YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–In the last ten days of May the Armenian Ambassador to Denmark–Norway and Finland Vladimir Karmirshalian (residence in Yerevan) was in the region to present his credentials to these countries’ leaders.
Ambassador Karmirshalian presented his credentials to Finnish President Tarje Hallonen May 18–to King of Norway His Majesty Harald V May 23 and Queen of Denmark Her Majesty Margaret II May 30.
During the meetings the sides discussed the possibilities of developing relations in the political–economic–cultural and other spheres. Ambassador Karmirshalian outlined the European directions of Armenia’s domestic policy–as well as the preparations for the celebration of the 1700th anniversary of Christianity as a state religion in Armenia.
Ambassador Karmirshalian and President Hallonen also addressed the current stage of the Karabakh peace process.
