YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–An Armenian delegation led by Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian will leave for Cyprus on an official visit on March 8.
During the visit the delegation will discuss issues of developing bilateral political and economic relations–prospects for multilateral and international cooperation with the two countries’ participation. In particular–during the meeting with Foreign Minister of Cyprus Johannis Kasulides the delegation will discuss ways of realizing the agreemen’s reached during the latter’s visit to Armenia. The agreemen’s concern the cooperation in culture–tourism as well as the encouragement of investmen’s in different economic spheres. The sides will also discuss some international issues.
The delegation is scheduled to hold meetings with President of Cyprus Glafcos Clerides–Foreign Minister Johannis Kasulides–Archbishop of Cyprus Chrisostomos–Acting Chairman of the House of Representatives Nicos Anastaziades–Mayor of Nicosia Leilos Demetriades–Director General of the Bank of Development of Cyprus Jonis Jonides–and Chairman of the Chamber of Trade of Cyprus Vasilis Rologis.
Minister Oskanian will also meet with the representatives of the Armenian community of Cyprus and visit the Melkonian gymnasium and Narek primary school.
On March 10–Minister Oskanian will leave for Greece on a working visit. He is scheduled to meet with a number of top officials and representatives of the Armenian community.
