YEREVAN (Armenpress)–The head of the UNESCO Medical-Biological International Center in Armenia Dr. Sinerik Hayrapetinan and two of his post graduate students participated in the 25th Congress of the International Bio-Magnetic Association (BEMS) held in Hawaii. One of the post graduates Gayaneh Hayrapetian–was singled out as the author of the best scientific report–"Mechanism of Metabolic Impact of Pressure of Magnetic Fields on the Contraction of the Cardiac Muscle," that discusses shifts in geo-magnetic fields and their significant impact on the human brain and cardio-vascular system–often leading to death.
The Congress noted that Hayrapetian’s study is the first to explain the impact of geo-magnetic fields on the human body and provide possibilities to increase protectiveness by regulating those fields.
Five of the seven reports from Armenia presented to the Congress were accepted; two went on to receive gran’s from the Congress and the US Civil Research and Development Foundation.
Hayrapetian headed the delegation of doctors/scientists in the competition; his participation was funded by the US Defense Department Space Research Center.
