YEREVAN (Public Radio of Armenia) — On March 2, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met with Jonathan Parish, NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Defense Policy and Planning.
Welcoming the guest, Minister Nalbandian positively assessed the achievements reached as a result of the cooperation between Armenia and NATO.
Parish mentioned that relations between Armenia and North Atlantic Alliance are on high level and stressed importance to the implementation of Armenia-NATO Individual Partnership Action Plan 2014-2016 (IPAP).
The sides reflected on Armenia-NATO political dialogue, discussing Armenia’s effective participation in international peacekeeping operations, and the implementation of reforms in the Armenian Armed Forces.
Preparations for the meeting North Atlantic Council in 28+Armenia format to-be-held next week, were also on the agenda.
Nalbandian presented the efforts made by Armenia and the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs towards a peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, stressing the necessity to support the mediators’ mission.
