PICO RIVERA, Calif. — Armenian Mesrobian School, which is currently celebrating its 50th year of education and service to the community, unveiled its 50th Anniversary Logo this week.
The school explained the symbolism of the new logo, which is a combination of different elements, in a written statement:
Blue and White are the official Mesrobian School Colors. The added Gold elements reflect the school’s Golden Anniversary. The prominent “L” on the left is the Roman Numeral 50. Within the “L” is the name of the school in both Armenian and English. At the vertex of the “L” is the ancient Armenian symbol for Eternity- Յաւերժութեան Նշան. The original logo placed in the “0” of the number “50,” when paired with the curved line above it is actually the Armenian letter “Ծ,” which in the ancient Armenian numeration system stands for the numeral 50.
Armenian Mesrobian School, established in 1965, is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and has Nursery School (2 years old) through High School (12th Grade) on the same campus. Besides this being a major convenience for parents, who may have children at multiple ages, it offers a unique perspective and opportunity for students, teachers, and parents to grow together, and for students to get the attention and nurturing they need to be successful in school and in life. The High School curriculum is certified to the University of California. Mesrobian’s Alumni Network and Mentorship Program connects students with five decades of alumni who have distinguished themselves in fields as diverse as education, science, business, medicine, music, law, dentistry, chiropractic, politics, engineering, veterinary medicine, and psychology.
