YEREVAN—An Armenian soldier, Mher Hakobyan, 24, was killed by enemy fire at a military outpost in the southern regions of the “line of contact” between Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan. The incident took place on Thursday morning, Artsakh’s Ministry of Defense reports.
“The Ministry of Defense shares the sorrow of this heavy loss and expressed support to Mher Hakobyan’s family and friends,” a report of the incident from the Ministry says.
A probe into the details of the incident is under way.
For bravery shown during the defense of the Artsakh Republic’s state border, Artsakh’s President Bako Sahakian on Thursday posthumously awarded the Senior Lieutenant Mher Hakobyan with the “Service in Battle” medal, the President’s press office reports.
Another Armenian soldier killed by Azeri sniper fire. This should be universally condemned. This murder is the same as the beheadings committed by ISIS. Where is the outrage? Nagorno Karabakh forces should exact retribution.
DO WE EVER SHOOT BACK?
When will this stop
Every time a hero dies until when we will continue to lose our heroes and the response to enemies?
hellooooo now that Russia threatens to cut down gas exports to Europe, imagne how important Azerbaijan has become, no wonder they never condem them.
