YEREVAN (Armenpress)–Armenia’s external debt that stood at $862 million in 2000–or some 45 percent of the GDP–will reach $987 million this year.
World Bank and other international lending organizations predict that it will make $1.94 in 2002 $1.17 billion in 2003–and $1.277 billion in 2004.
According to preliminary estimates of the World bank and International Monetary Fund–the biggest rise in the export and import volumes is expected this year–respectively by 18.5 percent and 10.8 percent.
