AKHALKALAK (A-Info)–The opening of the Armenian Relief Society (ARS) medical diagnostic center in Akhalkalak took place on Thursday–as a part of the organization’s Javakhk Assistance Program. It is the only diagnostic center in Javakhk.
Speaking about the diagnostic center–the chief physician of the Akhalkalak regional hospital Alexan Toroyan noted–"From this day on–the people of Javakhk will be able to receive medial and diagnostic analyses in their region."
On behalf of the Javakhk region’s governing executive–Mkhitar Khodikyan thanked the ARS for its unprecedented gesture–and expressed confidence that its dedication can serve as a model for other organizations.
Newly elected parliament member from Tsalka Haig Meldonian–spoke enthusiastically about the ARS’s commitment and conveyed hope that the organization’s activities to improve the lives of Javakhk residents would continue.
ARS Javakhk office director Valer Arabian spoke of ARS’s commitment to developing the region–and making the lives of inhabitants more comfortable. "The opening of this diagnostic center is only the beginning; there are medical centers in more than fifteen large villages that must be reopened–and the region’s hospitals must also be modernized. I can assure that the ARS will take on these projects."
