Vice-Chairperson: Carmen Libaridian
Secretary: Armenouhi Tomassian
Treasurer: Kristine Keshishian
Advisors: Seta Hagopian, Judy Jingirian, Zharmen Mirzakhanyan, Angele Ohannessian, Liza Santikian
With a new fiscal year at the forefront, the new Board has already embarked on laying the groundwork for furthering ARS programs and activities during its term. Among its first order of business, the new Board has set clear and attainable goals to strive for throughout the year, including strengthening its chapters; increasing membership; and stimulating fundraising efforts to help benefit vital programs. Liaisons have been appointed to each of the region’s 27 chapters and the regional committees that will work throughout the year on specialized areas of interest have been affirmed. Undoubtedly, the organization’s unwavering support of local and international communities in need remains a top-priority.
The region will soon bring its presence to the ARS 70th International Convention in Athens, Greece in October 2011, helping formulate initiatives and plans that will have an impact on the larger ARS family worldwide and its services. Representing the ARS-WUSA, Nyree Derderian will serve as the Regional Executive Representative to the Convention, and Rita Hintlian, Seda Khojayan, Arousyak Melkonian, and Sossie Poladian were elected during the ARS 91st Annual Regional Convention to be the region’s four delegates.
