STEPANAKERT— Serviceman Albert Hakob Postolokyan, 20-years-old, was fatally shot in the early hours of Thursday in the Martakert region of Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh), according to the Artsakh Defense Ministry.

Probe into details of Postolokyan’s death is underway.

The Defense Ministry offered condolences and extended support to the family and friends of the killed soldier

The ministry reported that Azerbaijan violated forty cases of ceasefire violation overnight on December 7-8, where the adversary used various caliber firearms, firing over 500 times toward Karabakh military positions.

Such a terrible tragedy.. and it goes on year after year
How many of our young heroes are killed on the front lines all the time, and all we hear from Defense Ministry are condolences.
It reminds me the front line between Soviets and Germans in the June 1941.
Nazis were shooting border guards while Stalin was imposing silence, hoping it would avoid the war.
    Everyone knows what happened next.
