Artur Aleksanyan Defeats Turkish Wrestler, Makes it to Finals

RIGA(Armenpress) — Greco-Roman wrestler Artur Aleksanyan defeated Turkish wrestler Cenk Ildem during the semifinals of the European Wrestling Champion in Riga, Latvia with a score of 6:2, ensuring himself a spot in the finals. Aleksanyan is currently competing in the 98 kg weight category.
He will be competing for the gold against the winner of the match between Orhan Urien of Azerbaijan and Nikita Melnikov of Russia.
In the 59 kg weight category of the same tournament, Roman Amoyan defeated Ukrainian Dmytro Tsymbalyuk with a score of 4:0 to also reach the finals of the European Championship.  Amoyan will face Mingiyan Semeonov from Russia in the finals.
