GLENDALE, CA–Members of the Armenian Youth Federation’s Glendale and South Bay chapters on Sunday hosted a traditional Foul and Mammounia breakfast for 50 community members to raise money for an orphanage in Glendale’s sister city of Ghapan in Armenia.
The joint effort between the two chapters, was part of an annual tradition now in its second year. The event was held at the Armenian Cultural Foundation’s Karamanoukian Youth Center in Glendale.
Last year’s breakfast raised around $1,000 for a much-needed car to transport the children of the orphanage to the hospital for regular visits. The $500 raised Sunday will be donated for general purposes to the same orphanage.
