STEPANAKERT (Armenpress)—The Defense Ministry of Nagorno-Karabakh says Azerbaijan is conducting aviation military exercises by using helicopters and jets at the south-eastern direction of the Nagorno-Karabakh-Azerbaijani contact line.
The Ministry’s announced “On July 13 starting at 08:26, the Azerbaijani side is conducting aviation military exercises at the south-eastern direction 30km deep from the line of contact. At 11:00 12 jets and 41 helicopters were included in the aviation military exercises.
The Air Defense Forces of the NKR Defense Army are controlling the Azerbaijani aviation military exercises through radar and monitoring systems and carefully follow their actions.”
Defense Ministry of Nagorno-Karabakh also said earlier on July 13 that the Azerbaijani forces violated the ceasefire regime by firing various caliber weapons in the Nagorno-Karabakh-Azerbaijani contact line.
The Ministry’s announcement reads “Overnight July 12-13 Azerbaijan made 26 ceasefire violations in Nagorno-Karabakh-Azerbaijan line of contact.
The Azerbaijani side fired more than 250 shots from various caliber weapons at the Armenian positions, and fired 60mm mortars (2 shells) at the north-eastern direction (Martakert).
The Defense Army forces adhered to the ceasefire maintenance regime and continued confidently fulfilling their military duties.”

It’s well and good that there were no losses on our side. But I heart would have gladdened somehow if there was news that a computerized gunshot locator device, hooked up to a high caliber, well calibrated response machine gun, killed the sniper and the spotter. Such devices are available, and cheaper than human life. Forget monitors. Just make it so a life is lost for every shot fired, and the shooting will stop. And you don’t need one everywhere. You need one and move it from spot to spot. Hook it up to a recording camera too. Publicize in real color on Youtube how short a snipers life can be. Who’s going to take that chance.

Nothing more and nothing less than psychological warfare

The best defense is a strong offense. We need to take the fight to them and cause massive casualties on them. Record the attack to counter their lies later on. It would also be great to capture a few of them alive, or dead even, and teach them a lesson a decapitation.
