VATICAN CITY (Arka)—Renowned French Armenian singer Charles Aznavour is planning to perform a concert at the Vatican on the centennial anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, RIA Novosti reports.
The singer will meet Pope Francis on Wednesday and plans to discuss the concert with him.
The Pope is well aware of Aznavour’s art and listens to the music of one of the most popular singers among Armenians, said a source close to the Pope.
On April 12, Pope Francis will hold a holy service at Saint Peter’s church to commemorate the 1915 genocide of Armenians. He has named 2015 as the year of Saint Gregory of Narek, a tenth-century Armenian monk and poet, a Doctor of the Church. Only some 36 saints have been granted the title so far.

This fraud has ridden the coat tails of his Armenin heritage long enough. At age 91 , this senile arrogant fool , came to Los Angeles as part of his “farewell” concert tour. With more than HALF of his audience at the Greek theater composed of fellow Armenians that had shown up with pride and anticipation, this fossil began to sing. Throughout his whole set NOT ONCE did he say a single word in Armenian , sing a single line in Armenian, or speak a single sentence about his Armenian heritage. Despite the fact that the first 10 rows at nearly $500 per seat were filled with fellow Hyes supporting him.
He dedicated songs to blacks, to Frenchmen, to women, and to homosexuals. But not a single word was said in reference to his ethnic identity and heritage. At 91 with the grim reaper knocking, this fossil was afraid he was going to alienate listeners if he mentioned something about his heritage or sang a song for the huge Armenian populace in attendance at his concert? He is a self righteous fraud, and an arrogant miscreant that does not deserve the support fellow Armenians give him at his concerts around the world.
NEVER AGAIN, will I attend any of this fool’s shows, good riddence !!!
