SACRAMENTO—The California Armenian Legislative Caucus is honored to have two new members join the caucus: Senator Bob Archuleta and Senator Andreas Borgeas. Senator Archuleta and Senator Borgeas join fellow members: Senator Anthony Portantino, Senator Scott Wilk, Assembly Majority Leader Ian Calderon, Assemblymember Kansen Chu, Assemblymember Brian Dahle, Assemblymember Laura Friedman, Assemblymember Jesse Gabriel, Assemblymember Adrin Nazarian, Assemblymember Luz Rivas, and Assemblymember Blanca Rubio.

“I am a proud “Hye Pesa” from Fresno! Having been very active in Armenia and Artsakh issues, I look forward to being a part of the Caucus’ mission to share the Armenian culture with all Californians,” stated Senator Andreas Borgeas

“It has been an honor to serve my Armenian-Americans living in my district,” said Senator Bob Archuleta (D-Pico Rivera). “It’s a privilege to become a member of the Armenian Caucus as I represent thousands of Armenians in the 32nd district. My district is home to several Armenian-owned businesses, schools, churches, restaurants, bakeries, and other places of interest. They include the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Montebello, one of the largest Armenian K through 12 – Mesrobian School, located in Pico Rivera, as well as the Armenian Culture Foundation, the Armenian Youth Federation, and the Armenian Center. I look forward to continuing and strengthening my relationship with the Armenia community and work with the Armenian Caucus to move ahead with an agenda that will benefit all Californians of Armenian descent, especially those living and working in the 32nd district,” concluded Senator Archuleta

The California Armenian Legislative Caucus serves as a forum for members from the California Senate and Assembly to identify key issues affecting Armenian Americans and develop and empower the Armenian American community throughout California. The Caucus encourages advocacy and participation in cultural, educational, governmental, and community efforts in California. Through advocacy, the Caucus strives to ensure that California Armenian American’s voices are heard and given a platform.
