PHILADELPHIA–Several leading California Republican Armenia’s participated in the Republican National Convention held in Philadelphia. A summary of their activities and roles is as follows:
Mike Der Manouel–Jr. served as an alternate delegate to the Convention and participated in several events and delegation meetings throughout the week long affair. Mike is the treasurer of the California Republican Party and sits on the Party’s Board of Directors. A former Chairman of the Fresno County Republican Central Committee Mike has long been active in Republican and community affairs. Mike is on the Advisory Board of the National Organizations of Republican Armenia’s (NORA).
Steve Samuelian served on the California Delegation staff–a position he was appointed to by the Bush campaign. In this capacity–Steve was responsible for staffing the California delegation and arranging their activities and events for the week. Samuelian is the Area Co-Chairman of the Bush campaign in California’s Central Valley–a member of the State Republican Party Executive Committee–and District Director to Congressman George Radanovich. Steve is also a National Board Member of NORA. Additionally–Steve is very active in Armenian community affairs in California serving in many leadership roles both former and current.
Senator Chuck Poochigian served as an alternate delegate to the Republican National Convention. Poochigian a leading member of the Senate was recently elected as Senate Caucus Chairman and has long been active in Republican political activities. Poochigian is also a strong supporter of NORA activities and most recently praised NORA’s formation of "Armenia’s for Bush."
Debbie Poochigian served as a Delegate to the Convention and is also the Central Regional Chairman of the Bush campaign. Debbie oversees 17 Central California counties for the Bush organization and has participated in many Republican campaigns and activities over a long and distinguished career in the political arena.
