YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–The Armenian State Museum of Carving was established in order to collect and display historic handmade art. Museum Director Henrik Solakhian said that there was no museum like it in the Soviet Union. The museum displays artwork dating back to the Bronze Age.
According to Solakhian the museum is currently facing several problems. It has no alarm or a fire detection system. Temperature adjustment and heating systems are also need. It does not have the money to publish or advertising.
