GLENDALE—Chamlian Chamlian Armenian School students displayed their best sportsmanship as they participated in the 27th Annual Homenetmen KAHAM Games in Glendale. All of their hard work paid off at the recognition ceremony on Sunday, March 27, when the First Place Sergei Aftandelian Overall Trophy was presented to Chamlian for the third year in a row.
All the parents, coaches, athletes, Vice Principal, Rita Kaprielian, and Principal, Vazken Madenlian, attended the closing ceremony.
“We are very proud of our student’s dedication to delivering outstanding performances and winning 1st place for the 3rd year in a row,” said Madenlian. “Through their hard work, Chamlian students have shown success both inside and outside of the classroom.”
Coach Irene Nikoghossian and Coach Vasag Sherbetdjian oversee Chamlian’s physical education and sports program. Various sports teams were coached by Chamlian alumni and parents after school for weeks leading up to the KAHAM Games. Coaches, athletes, and parents continuously demonstrated enthusiasm and dedication toward the practices and the games resulting in many Chamlian victories.
