BEVERLY HILLS–Katrina relief efforts continued to pour in, over a dozen walks and runs sponsored and still the spotlight burns bright on companies that contributed generously to worthy causes and encouraged employees to follow suit.
It is a wondrous sign of the times that many companies include “good works” in their corporate budgets. For example, Bosley, a leading hair restoration expert, has established a set of Core Values that includes charitable activities and a volunteer support program. In 2007, their Los Angeles Branch supported Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Lee’s Denim Day for Breast Cancer, AIDS Walk LA, the Concern Foundation for cancer research, and the Jewish Home for the Aging in Reseda along with various locally based events.
Over the past five years, Bosley and employees have donated close to $500,000.00 to projects around the country and have participated in such diverse local fundraising organizations as Donate Life, Locks of Love, AIDS Walk San Francisco, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Others include Pediatric Cancer, CARE for Tsunami Relief, Friends of the Forest, not to mention blood drives, toys for tots, youth soccer programs, food drives and much more.
The personal satisfaction that results in a charitable environment has a valuable impact on productivity and employee retention ‘s a bonus for companies that embrace charitable activity as a badge of pride. Officers of Bosley leading the regional teams are John Ohanesian, President and CEO, Armen Markarian, Chief Operating Officer and Koko Oksouzian, Manager of Fulfillment.
“Our combined team efforts and commitment to our own communities make our company more a place of service and accomplishment,” says John Ohanesian.
“Our company is about innovative and advanced technology and it would only make sense to support outside agencies that grow new avenues to support advanced healthcare.”
Bosley’s core group of executives continue their pledge and commitment to public service in the hope that other companies will learn of the benefits and pleasures that come from corporate charitable support. Their passion and generosity for the community supports the promise of a new year of hope that will bring a better quality of life for many.
We contribute to and show concern for our community and our environment. The whole is equal to the sum of its parts. Bosley team members are a special group of people who make a difference in their communities through volunteer efforts, contributions and participation in public programs.
