YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–"We expect that the opening of a new Chinese restaurant will promote stronger friendship between the Chinese and Armenian peoples," Chinese Embassy Advisor Mr. Ding said during Tuesday’s presentation of the "Peking" restaurant. According to Ding–"the closing of the first Chinese restaurant located on Yerevan’s Amirian street was followed by frequent telephone calls to the Embassy from those fond of the Chinese cuisine asking when the restaurant would be re-opened." The co-managers of the restaurant–Gegham Galstian and Mr. Lee–pledged to do everything within their capacities to "satisfy the deman’s of the Chinese cuisine fanciers."
The presentation of the "Peking" restaurant was attended by Russian Ambassador to Armenia Anatoly Driukov–Ukrainian Ambassador to Armenia Alexander Bozhko–deputies of the National Assembly of Armenia–and other diplomats.
