YEREVAN (Armenpress)–The recurrent CIS summit will be held January 25 in Moscow. According to Moscow based ‘Nezavisimaya Gazeta’ newspaper–Russia’s former president Boris Yeltsin is likely to be proposed to be elected honorable chairman of CIS heads of state council.
After the summit the CIS prime ministers’ sitting is scheduled. The foreign ministers are expected to meet the following day.
The main issues to be discussed by the CIS heads of states include discussions on prospects for further cooperation–creation of a free trade zone–unification of CIS member-countries’ anti-trust legislation–joint anti-terrorist struggle and also issues on settling conflicts in CIS countries.
