YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–The seismic danger in the epicenter of the earthquake in Noyemberian was discussed at the July 19 session of the Council of Experts from the National Seismic Protection Service of Armenia (NSPS). On July 18–at 11:33 local time–an earthquake shook the outskirts of the town of Noyemberian.
According to data–the epicenter was in the populated areas of Noyemberian-Kokhb-Berdavan. It measured 6 or 7 points on the Richter scale damaging old buildings and injuring three people.
Special NSPS subdivisions are reported to be operating in the epicenter zone–besides the government commission–to examine buildings damaged in the earthquake.
