YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Prime Minister Armen Darbinian met with British House of Lords Deputy Speaker Baroness Caroline Cox–Thursday. The Baroness congratulated Darbinian on his new appointment and said–"We are full of optimism about the future of Armenia," noting that she is well-informed of the political and economic situation and current problems in Armenia.
The presidential press service reported that Darbinian voiced his appreciation of Cox’s support of Karabakh and spoke of the principle to form a new government–financial and banking spheres of the country–economic policy–progress and investment.
The sides also discussed issues regarding human rights–the death penalty–strengthening of the legal and–social state.
