Oil exploration in Artsakh in the Mardakert province should be a priority project. The Tartar Rayon , Azerbajian which is North of Mardakert province has oil in areas such as Mir Bashir and Maragha (site of the Maragha massacre) .Armenia and Artsakh need their own oil supply in the case of war because the country can’t be dependent on foreign oil supply. Who knows what tricks the Azeris or Georgians may play on the Armenians.
The lack of oil played a major role in the German defeat in both WWI and WWII. Secure oil supplies are key to winning a war. General Patton said” my men can eat their belts but my tanks got to have gas”.
Investing in Artsakh I understand and it is great… But investing in Armenia??? There is so much corruption and fraud and intimidation, that I have several friends that had experienced them… it is unimaginably disgusting.
