YEREVAN (Armenpress)–An earthquake measuring 3-4 points on the Richter scale rocked northern Armenia’s Spitak city at 1:41AM Sunday. The epicenter was situated 12 kilometers from Spitak.
Armenia’s national seismological protection service stated that the quake caused no damage or casualties. The epicenter of the devastating earthquake of December 7–1988–claiming the lives of over 25,000 was situated approximately at the same area.
