GLENDALE–The Armenian Revolutionary Federation Western US Central Committee hosted a reception Wednesday at Phoenicia Restaurant honoring Armenia’s Consul General to Los Angeles Armen Liloyan, whose tour of duty concluded last week.
President Serzh Sarkisian has signed an order appointing Grigor Hovannisyan to fill Liloyan post. He will begin his tour on February 1.Prior to assuming this post, Havannisyan served as the founding director of the Shushi Revival Fund, which was established by Yerevan Mayor Yervand Zakharian.
Representatives of affiliate organizations and all denominations were present Wednesday to honor Liloyan and thank him for his dedicated service to the community.
ARF Western US Central Committee chairman Avedik Izmirlian presented the outgoing Consul with a silver coin set depicting the founders of the ARF.
All speakers elevated Liloyan for his service and dedication and his warm relations with the community.
