YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–The finance and banking college trains highly skilled personnel–President of the Association of Banks of Armenia Bagrat Asatrian said at the official opening ceremony Thursday. According to him–only four of 40 students at the college will pay for their education while the rest are sponsored by commercial banks in Armenia that care about the education of their future employees.
President of the Central Bank Tigran Sargssian stressed the importance of involving Armenian financial analysts in the training process and text-book writing.
German Ambassador to Armenia Carolla Muller-Holtkemper said that the syllabus for the college was developed in Germany. German’specialists are currently controlling its efficiency–rendering technical assistance and providing consultations.
The finance and banking college was founded in 1998 under the agreement on implementing the "Specialized Secondary Education of Bank Officers in Armenia" program. This agreement was signed between Armenian and Germany.
