YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–The first scientific conference of young physicists "Physics ’99" opened at Yerevan State University September 13 to summarize the results of the recent work done by specialists under 35. According to the Conference Steering Committee Chairman Atom Mkhitarian–the conference will hear 40 reports on gravitation–nuclear physics–quantum electronics–solids–molecular physics–and more. The expert commission will recommend the best works for publication.
The conference has been arranged upon the joint initiative of Yerevan State University–the Armenian Association of Physicists–the Institute of Physical Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia and the Yerevan Institute of Physics. The conference will end on September 16.
